Persuade With Reason And Repetition

There have been studies that show that people are likely to respond to you if…you just give them a reason to!

People respond in a certain way for a reason, make sure you give them good reasons to respond in the way you want them to.

Repetition is crucial in persuasive writing. Show the reader your point of view is the right conclusion to come to from many different angles.

Write Clearly And Concisely

Always state your position in a clear and concise manner, using examples, statistics, anecdotes, perhaps you could quote a famous person who agrees with you, etc. be convincing and try to leave no questions in the readers mind.

Be Consistent In Your Writing And Provide Social Proof Of Your Position
Consistency in your writing is associated with believability, rational behavior, and integrity. Inconsistency in your writing could come off as a sign of instability, insecurity, and possible untrustworthiness.

Become The Authority Figure

When writing persuasively you want to present yourself as a consistent authority figure who is in control, and has influence. This will help you to present a strong and believable argument, and help sway the reader to your conclusion.

Provide Social Proof

Providing social proof of your position can be a very powerful persuasive technique indeed! By showing that others agree with your stance, it becomes very easy for the reader to also.

This is why you see all those testimonials on most any sales page you want to look at. Proof that others have liked your product or service makes the reader want to join their ranks, and become a believer too!

Use Comparisons As A Persuasive Technique

The use of similies, metaphors, analogies, and comparisons is a tried and true persuasive writing technique to connect with the reader on an emotional level.

You can use these techniques to compare your conclusion to something the reader already accepts as true which will make it easier to accept your conclusion as true also.

An example of this persuasive technique is comparing the price of your eBook to the price of live coaching…see, the eBook is a real ‘deal’!

Feel Your Readers Pain!

Tell them you know exactly how they feel. You have been in their shoes. You have felt their pain!

But, the good news is…you found something that took that pain away…your offering! A very powerful technique that is used all the time, or one reason…it works!

Address Any Objections While Concentrating On Your Readers Wants, Needs, And Desires

Be sure to touch on any and all objections the reader may have. This is one reason sales pages are so long…the salesman wants to cover all the bases, anything that might be important to the prospect.

Your offering should fill the readers wants, or needs, and/or desires. Be sure to address how your offering will help the reader or improve their lives.

Benefits, Benefits, And Even More Benefits…Oh, Did I Mention How Important The Benefits Of Your Offering Are? Remember Benefits Sell, While Features Tell

If you get this right, you will be able to sell when you write. Concentrate on the benefits of your offering. How it will improve the prospects life. And is the answer to their prayers!

I’m sure you’ve seen all those bullet lists, and numbered lists in sales pages. They usually are listing the many and varied benefits of the offer, how this offer will fix just about anything wrong in the readers life. lol

All kidding aside, sales pages are like an open book. There is a reason they are constructed the way they are…cause they work, time after time!

Give Them Your Call To Action

Ok you’re getting close to the end of your persuasive piece…now be sure you tell the reader exactly what you want him/her to do next!

Never, And I Mean Never, Leave The Reader “Hanging”

Tell the reader in no uncertain terms what they should do, or where they should go.

Tell them CLICK HERE, or BUY NOW, or CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION…you get the idea. Give them a clear course of action.
