Do you know where your online money is?
The money is in the list…your very own email list that is
Have you been online for a while now, wondering just how all these people pull in their ‘six’ or ‘seven’ figure incomes? I was where you are today once myself. Then I came to a realization…all these ‘gurus’ if they are being totally honest will tell you: the lions share of their online income comes directly from their list of warm, responsive opt in subscribers. Your list is cash on demand…it really is.
Sure they write ebooks, and put together products to sell online, but I’ll bet most of the products sold are to theirs lists, and the lists of affiliates.
Simply put…if you want to make a killing online, in any niche, build an email list of people who opt-in to hear what you have to say, want to see what you have to offer. Your email list will become your friends, people who ‘want’ to give you their money.
Ok, so how do email lists work?
An email list is just a list of subscribers who have given you their names, and email addresses in exchange for information you give them. Usually a free ebook, or piece of software, or something that has value to the prospect. Coming up with a free giveaway is very easy, as there are tons of free stuff available online. Just Google ‘free ebooks‘ or ‘free stuff ’ or ‘PLR ebooks‘…I’m sure you can find something in the millions of results you’ll get.
The best freebie you can offer though, would be one you create yourself. This may sound like a daunting task, but can be very simple. Just find a PLR ebook/report on the subject your interested in and rewrite it. Always make sure the ebook/report permissions allows this.
Here is a quick list of resale rights for ebooks and reports
1. Personal Use Only
Means just what it says…for your own use only, cannot be altered, sold, ect. The buyer has no rights, except personal use.
2. Resale Rights (RR)
You can resell the product, but that’s usually it ie: you cannot change the product in any way, or give others who buy the product from you any rights…except to resell it.
3. Master Resell Rights (MRR)
Generally with MRR you can sell the product or give it away, and allow your buyers to do the same. Usually you cannot change it in any way.
4. Private Label Rights (PLR)
If you want to rewrite an ebook and add yourself as the author, this is what you are looking for. Be sure to look at the permissions for the particular ebook you’re interested in as your rights can vary from product to product. Always investigate to be sure you are not breaking any copyright laws!
You can even use Open Office which is free, and will keep your links when converted to a PDF, which is the format ebooks and reports are generally offered in.
You could also pay to have a report, ebook, or software developed. Sounds expensive…right? Doesn’t have to be though, just go to Iwriter.com, or Fiverr.com and find a writer or developer to take care of your project for cheap.
Ok, I got my free give-away now what?
Well, now it’s time to give it away
, for the prospects name and email address of course.
The best way to do this is what’s called a squeeze page. Here is the definition of ‘squeeze page’ from Webopedia:
In Internet and online advertising vernacular, a squeeze page is a Web page that contains information that would interest the marketer’s targeted readers. Squeeze pages are designed to obtain a reader’s name and e-mail address information by encouraging users to opt-in to an e-mail list to receive more information about the topic. Marketers will collect the permission-based e-mail and information to follow up at a later date.
Currently, there is still some debate over the actual definition of a squeeze page. Some consider landing pages that offer additional hyperlinks to information as well as e-mail opt-in list sign-up to be a squeeze page, while others in the industry believe only those pages containing just an e-mail sign-up are considered a squeeze page.
Here are a couple of simple squeeze pages I have to collect email addresses to build my lists: HERE and HERE
The trick is to give the reader very little to do, but to sign-up for your offer in exchange for their information. Hence the name ‘squeeze page’ you’re squeezing the info out of your reader, so-to-speak.
I would recommend your own hosting account for your squeeze page/s (I use, and recommend BlueVoda), but if money is tight you could use Blogger, perhaps WordPress.com, or any of the free hosted sites available online.
Your best option by far is to sign-up for Bryan Winters list building system called 5iphon Extreme Hardcore List Builder. You get your own high converting video squeeze page that will build you a huge money making email list in record time. It’s a real win/win, and definitively a no brainer! Sign-up right now before you forget… you’ll thank me later
How do I keep track of all these subscribers?
Well you could try to handle all this yourself…there are ‘free’ ways to send email messages to your list, but, I don’t recommend it! You could soon find yourself overwhelmed.
No, I always suggest you sign-up for an auto-responder service. I use and recommend Aweber, as do most marketers online. A couple of other worthwhile auto-responder services are iContact, and GetResponse.
Aweber only costs 20 bucks a month, and if you can’t afford it…why have an email list in the first place?
I’m not going into detail here on setting up your account or when to send follow-up emails, or broadcast emails, ect. as Aweber explains this well on their site.
Sign-up for Aweber, sign-up for my newsletter and get into the game. You financial future may depend on it!
